CARACAS, Venezuela 5 de agosto de 2020.–La pandemia mundial COVID-19 ha venido golpeando al deporte y a todos los sectores del mundo muy fuerte, por tal razón hemos visto muchos eventos deportivos suspendidos, Ligas Nacionales e Internacionales con la firme intención de darle actividad a sus calendarios, pero haciendo cambios en los mismos e incluso a sus sistemas de juego.

A nivel regional las citas deportivas tales como Bolivarianos, Suramericanos, Centroamericanos y del Caribe, Panamericanos, que debían efectuarse post Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020, han tenido que ajustar las fechas e incluso hay países que desistieron de organizar la cita que le tocaba. Tokio fue el último evento de alto nivel en suspenderse, sin embargo ya tiene fechas para el 2021.

Las Organizaciones Deportivas Regionales, destacando a la Organización Deportiva Centroamericana y del Caribe ODECABE/CACSO de la mano con su presidente Luis Mejía Oviedo y todo su tren ejecutivo, se han dado a la tarea de ofrecerle a los atletas, entrenadores, directivos, federativos de diferentes CON’s, la posibilidad de crecer a nivel formativo, por tal razón desde la Comisión de Educación presidida por Eduardo Álvarez Camacho, quien también es presidente del Comité Olímpico Venezolano, han organizado el I SEMINARIO CENTROAMERICANO Y DEL CARIBE DE ADMINISTRACIÓN DEPORTIVA, el cual se realizará los días 11, 12 y 13 de agosto, contará con especialistas en diferentes áreas y podrán cursarlo hasta mil (1.000) personas que estén interesadas en inscribirse.

Presentación oficial
La ODECABE/CACSO, en aras de mantener informada a toda la región, realizará la primera Rueda de Prensa Virtual a través de la plataforma Zoom ODECABE, donde se espera la participación de comunicadores sociales de todo el continente americano, quienes han sido invitados para que conozcan más a fondo de este seminario y otros temas de interés. La misma se llevará a cabo el día jueves 6 de agosto, a las 11:30 am, tendrá como vocero principal al Presidente ODECABE/CACSO Luis Mejía Oviedo, y tendrá una duración aproximada de 40 a 45 minutos, posteriormente se abrirá, la ronda de preguntas. La campaña informativa a través de las redes sociales de todos los países adscritos a la organización, inicia desde ya con la etiqueta #OdecabeSeminario2020, además se difundirá un video informativo a la actividad y mucha información resumida, para que desde tu móvil celular, o computadora puedas estar al día con toda la información.

CENTRAL AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN SPORTS ADMINISTRATION SEMINAR

CARACAS, Venezuela August 5, 2020.- The COVID 19 global pandemic has hit all economic sectors in the world including the sports sector very hard; due to this we have seen many sporting events being suspended, National and International Leagues with the firm intention of activating their calendars, but having to make changes including changes in their games system.

At the regional level, sporting events such as the Bolivarian Games, South American Games, Central American Games and Pan-American Games, which were to take place after the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, have had to adjust the dates and there are countries that have given up organizing their scheduled event all together. Tokyo was the last high-level event to be suspended; however it already has dates for 2021.

As part of the Regional Sports Organizations, The Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization, CACSO, led by its president Luis Mejia Oviedo and the entire Executive Board, have taken upon the task to offer athletes, coaches, managers, federations of member NOCs, the opportunity to further develop their knowledge. In this respect the Education Commission chaired by Eduardo Álvarez Camacho, CACSO Secretary General and president of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee, has organized the 1st CENTRAL AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN SEMINAR OF SPORTS ADMINISTRATION, which will take place on August 11, 12 and 13. This three day event will have the participation of specialists in different areas and up to one thousand (1000) people will be able to participate.

CACSO will hold the first Virtual Press Conference, through the CACSO Zoom platform to inform as many people in the region and a special invitation has been sent to all Central American and the Caribbean social media communications managers to obtain more in depth information about this seminar and other topics of interest. The 1st Virtual Press Conference will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 11:30 am, and CACSO president Luis Mejia Oviedo will be the main spokesperson. It is scheduled for approximately 40 to 45 minutes and will haver a round of questions at the end. This press conference will provide specific details on this 1st Seminar in addition to other topics of interest related to the future plans of the organization. The information campaign through social networks of all countries affiliated to the organization, starts from now on with the hash tag #CACSOSeminar2020, in addition an informative video of the activity and summarized information will be broadcast, so that everyone is kept up to date via mobile phone, tablets, laptops or desktop computer.
