MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay, 9 de diciembre de 2020.- Con alegría y pasión por la vida deportiva saludable se disputaron los Mundiales de la IFBB. Desde el 5 y hasta el 8 de noviembre pasado, Santa Susanna (ESP) se vistió con sus mejores galas para recibir a los equipos y deportistas participantes de la edición 2020 del Campeonato Mundial de Bodybuilding, Fitness & Máster IFBB (International Federation bodybuilding and Fitness).

El torneo tuvo especial trascendencia por las dificultades de conectividad internacionales, debido a las complicaciones provocadas por el Covid-19.

El presidente de la IFBB, Dr. Rafael Santonja, y el alcalde de Santa Susanna, Sr. Joan Campolier, inauguraron el Congreso Mundial, que se llevó a cabo el día jueves 5, destacando que el testimonio de alegría de los deportistas y oficiales presentes, compensó todos los esfuerzos por concretar el evento. Las autoridades presentes en el Congreso, enviaron un mensaje de aliento y los mejores deseos de salud a la gran familia del culturismo y el fitness de esta emblemática ciudad de la costa mediterránea.

De esa manera, los Campeonatos del Mundo IFBB no faltaron a su cita anual, y se llevaron a cabo con una entusiasta participación de deportistas de todo el mundo, que llegaron a Santa Susanna en gran forma, y con la mejor energía y espíritu competitivo, junto con oficiales y entrenadores.

En contacto constante con la Secretaría General del Deporte de la Generalitat y el Consejo Superior de Deportes de España, en este Campeonato mundial, – considerado el más importante de todo el calendario internacional de la IFBB -, han competido las selecciones nacionales de más de 45 países.

Para realizar este evento internacional, según los más estrictos protocolos COVID-19, aplicados por los servicios médicos de la IFBB, se montó un gran escenario de 36 metros de longitud con más de 400 metros cuadrados de backstage, para poder respetar los espacios de seguridad entre todos los participantes.

Acoger este acontecimiento en la actual situación, significó todo un reto para la organización, reflejado en el esfuerzo de los atletas para competir, equiparable al de la organización para cumplir todos los protocolos sanitarios establecidos por los profesionales de la IFBB.

Lamentablemente este Mundial no ha podido admitir público, pues la entrada al recinto ha sido restringida solo a atletas y personal federativo, aunque para los amantes del Fitness se pudo seguir en directo vía streaming a través de los canales oficiales de la IFBB.

Los ganadores generales en Senior fueron en culturismo clásico masculino, Erick Sánchez de Guatemala, en físico masculino, Farbad Chaharlang, de Suecia, en culturismo masculino, Aleksandr Martynkin de Rusia, en Bodyfitness femenino, Alina Yaman de Ucrania, en físico femenino, Natalia Prokhorova de Ucrania, en Women’s Fitness, Nataliia Toropova de Rusia, en Men’s Classic Physique, Yurii Zymohliad de Ucrania, en Women´s Bikini, Wiktoria Nnaka de Polonia, y en Women’s Wellness, Lara Santini de Croacia.

La victoria por equipos de los Campeonatos del Mundo Masculinos y Senior Femenina fue para Ucrania, el Master masculino quedó en poder del equipo representante de España y el galardón máximo en Master femenino se lo llevó Ucrania.

El equipo ucraniano refrendó estas victorias con las ya conseguidas en los últimos Campeonatos de Europa.

Después de albergar con éxito el pasado septiembre el Europeo Bodybuilding, & Fitness, Senior, Junior & Master, la IFBB ha vuelto a confiar en el destino turístico de Santa Susana, en su capacidad organizativa y su moderna planta hotelera para celebrar su Campeonato y Congreso Mundial IFBB 2020.

El proyecto Santa Susana capital mundial del fitness, nació en el 2003 y hasta la actualidad han competido más de 45.000 atletas de la élite mundial en los 27 campeonatos internacionales celebrados a lo largo de estos años.

El éxito de la relación entre la IFBB y Santa Susanna, se basa en compartir los valores del deporte del fitness, la pasión por la vida deportiva saludable, fomentando la convivencia de todos los atletas, entradores, jueces y oficiales.

Santa Susana in Catalonia was the world capital of Bodybuilding and Fitness

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay, December 9, 2020.-With joy and passion for healthy sports life the IFBB World Cups were held On November 5 and until November 8, Santa Susanna (ESP) was the world showcase to receive the teams and athletes participating in the 2020 edition of the World Bodybuilding, Fitness & Master Championship IFBB (International Federation Bodybuilding and Fitness).

The tournament had special significance due to the difficulties of international connectivity, to the complications caused by Covid-19.

The IFBB President, Dr. Rafael Santonja, and the Mayor of Santa Susanna, Mr. Joan Campolier, inaugurated the World Congress, which took place on Thursday 5, highlighting that the testimony of joy from the athletes and officials present , compensated all the efforts to make the event happen. The authorities present at the Congress sent a message of encouragement and best health wishes to the great family of bodybuilding and fitness of this emblematic city on the Mediterranean coast.

In this way, the IFBB World Championships did not miss their annual appointment, and they were held with an enthusiastic participation of athletes from all over the world, who arrived in Santa Susanna in great shape, and with the best energy and competitive spirit, together with officials and

coaches. In constant contact, with the General Secretariat of Sport of the Catalan government, and the Higher Sports Council of Spain, this World Championship, – considered the most important of the entire IFBB international calendar -, had the participation of the national teams from more than 45 countries.

For the realization of this international event, in accordance with the strictest COVID-19 protocols, applied by the IFBB medical services, a large 36-meterlong stage was set up with more than 400 square meters of backstage. The purpose was to respect the security spaces, among all the participants.

The realization of this event in the current situation represented a challenge for the organization, reflected in the effort of the athletes to compete, and the great effort of the organization to comply with all the health protocols established by the IFBB professionals.

Unfortunately, this World Cup has not been able to admit the public, since entry to the venue has been restricted only to athletes and federative personnel, although for Fitness lovers it could be followed live via streaming through the official IFBB channels.

The overall winners in Senior were in classic male bodybuilding, Erick Sánchez from Guatemala, in male physique, Farbad Chaharlang, from Sweden, in male bodybuilding, Aleksandr Martynkin from Russia, in female Bodyfitness, Alina Yaman from Ukraine, in female physique, Natalia Prokhorova from Ukraine, in Women’s Fitness, Nataliia Toropova from Russia, in Men’s Classic Physique, Yurii Zymohliad from Ukraine, in Women’s Bikini, Wiktoria Nnaka from Poland, and in Women’s Wellness, Lara Santini from Croatia.

The team victory of the Men’s and Senior Women’s World Championships went to Ukraine, the men’s Master was held by the representative team of Spain and the highest award in the Women’s Master went to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian team endorsed these victories with those already achieved in the last European Championships. After successfully hosting the European Bodybuilding, & Fitness, Senior,

Junior & Master last September, the IFBB has once again trusted the tourist destination of Santa Susana, in its organizational capacity and its modern hotel plant to celebrate its Championship and Congress IFBB World Cup 2020.

The Santa Susana project, world capital of fitness, was born in 2003 and to date, more than 45,000 athletes of the world’s elite have competed in the 27 international championships held throughout these years.

The success of the relationship between the IFBB and Santa Susanna is based on sharing the values of the sport of fitness, the passion for healthy sporting life, fostering the coexistence of all athletes, trainers, judges and officials.
