Tijuana, México, 6 de julio de 2016.- Los Juegos Olímpicos y Paralímpicos de la ciudad de Rio 2016 están a la vuelta de la esquina y como cada cuatro años los 10 mil atletas buscarán lograr medallas de oro, escuchar el himno nacional de su país y dejar su nombre en la justa más importante del mundo que este aña alberga en Brasil.
Los ojos de todo el orbe estarán sobre las competencias que se realizará entre el 5 y el 21 de agosto de 2016 los Juegos Paralímpicos entre el 7 y el 18 de septiembre, en el evento se espera la participación de más 10 mil 500 atletas de 206 Comités Olímpicos Nacionales.
Chicago, Río de Janeiro, Madrid y Tokio fueron las finalista en la selección de la sede y fue Brasil después de trabajar 10 años desde su postulación hasta que finalmente ganó la sede y organizar estos juegos que llevan como lema: «Un mundo nuevo» .
Segunda ciudad más poblada de Brasil, Rio acapara la afluencia del turismo internacional de este gran país y es la primera ciudad olímpica de América del Sur, que como icono de esta urbe tienen al Cristo Redentor pero que también es famosa por su Carnaval.
Los Juegos Rio 2016 se celebrarán en 32 estadios repartidos en 4 zonas en Río de Janeiro, a los que se suman cinco ciudades subsedes del torneo de fútbol donde miles de atletas de todo el mundo comenzarán pronto a vivir su sueño Olímpico.
La Villa Olímpica y Paralímpica, que será el hogar de más de 17 mil atletas y miembros de delegaciones donde disfrutarán de la vibrante atmósfera brasileña con una gran oferta de frutas tropicales y refrigerios tradicionales, y claro lo mejor de la música y la cultura local.
Cuando la cuenta regresiva está a menos de 30 días, y el comité organizador informa que más de 90 mil personas, voluntarios, empleados y contratados, serán responsables de llevar adelante el mayor festival deportivo en el mundo.
En espera de la fecha, esos 90 mil ciudadanos están recogiendo sus uniformes, agarrando sus credenciales y preparándose para darles la bienvenida a sus invitados con todo el calor y la hospitalidad que hacen tan famosa a Brasil y la ciudad olímpica Rio de Janeiro.
