El 8 de mayo se abrirían las puertas de la NBA para práctica
La NBA informó que planea una modificación relacionada con el uso de los escenarios para entrenamiento por parte de sus equipos, teniendo en cuenta que algunos gobiernos locales anunciaron cambios que comenzarán esta semana, en cuanto a las restricciones de quedarse en casa y en las relacionadas con actividades comerciales no esenciales.
Para esto, la fecha tentativa es el 8 de mayo, sin embargo todo depende que el desarrollo del plan lo justifique, y de las restricciones en cada estado, pues lo que se busca es que los jugadores puedan entrenar en ambientes seguros y controlados. Algunos estados del país pueden ofrecer estas facilidades, mientras que para los que no, o los estados que sigan con restricciones, se buscarán opciones para que los jugadores puedan adelantar sus entrenamientos.
Para cuando los lugares de entrenamiento se abran, los jugadores deberán entender que el ingreso será de manera voluntaria e individual y no podrán estar más de 4 jugadores al mismo tiempo en el mismo lugar, por lo que queda claro que actividades grupales siguen siendo prohibidas. Además, ningún entrenador o asistente podrá estar con ellos. Finalmente la información publicada en la página oficial de la NBA aclara que sigue prohibido para los jugadores, el uso de centros de fitness, gimnasios y clubes de salud pública.
El béisbol espera su regreso para este verano
Sin lugar a dudas Nueva York es una de las ciudades de Estados Unidos más afectadas por el Covid-19, por lo que pensar en el regreso de las competencias deportivas parece un sueño. Sin embargo, los fanáticos de las Grandes Ligas quedaron emocionados luego de una de sus conferencias de prensa diarias que presenta Andrew Cuomo, gobernador de New York, donde manifestó su optimismo del regreso del béisbol a las Gran Manzana. Cuomo, dijo que espera que el béisbol este de regreso para el verano, en la ciudad que es casa de los Yankees y los Mets, añadiendo que los dirigentes de la liga deben encontrar la manera que esto sea posible.
«Si a los jugadores se les pudiera paga más que quedarse en casa y los propietarios pudieran tener algunos ingresos versus el cierre total, ¿por qué no? Me encantaría verlo», dijo Cuomo.
Hasta este fin de semana, Nueva York reportó 160,489 casos positivos y 12,287 fallecimientos a causa del virus, lo que la convierte en la ciudad norteamericana más afectada por la pandemia.
PGA volvería la segunda semana de junio
Con cuatro torneos la Asociación Profesional de Golfistas espera reanudar la actividad competitiva desde la segunda semana de junio de 2020. El primer evento sería el Charles Schwab que se disputaría a partir del 11 de junio y sin público en Texas. Los otros torneos serían El RBC Heritage en Carolina del Sur, el Travelers Championship en Connecticut y el Rocket Mortgage en Detroit, los cuales comenzarían el 18 de junio y también sin público.
Por otra parte, El British y el Canadian Open fueron cancelados, mientras que el LPG Championship se pospuso para agosto, el US Open para Septiembre y el Masters para Noviembre.

Major Leagues would possible return to New York and the LPG Golf in June

NBA facilities open for practice on May 8
The NBA reported that it plans a change related to the use of training facilities by its teams, taking into account that some local governments announced modifications that will take place this week, regarding the restrictions on stay-at-home and those related to non-essential business activities.
For this, the tentative date is May 8, however everything depends if the development of the plan justifies it, and on the restrictions in each State, because the aim is that players can train in safe and controlled environments. Some States in the country may offer these facilities, while for those that do not, or those that continue with restrictions, options will be seen so players can carry-on their training.
By the time the training venues gets open, players should understand that the use will be voluntary and individual and no more than 4 players can be in the same place at the same time, making it clear that group activities are still prohibited. Furthermore, no coach or assistant may be with them. Finally, the information published on the official NBA page clarifies that the use of fitness centers, gyms and public health clubs is still prohibited for players.
Baseball awaits his return this summer
Without a doubt, New York is one of the cities in the United States most affected by the Covid-19, so thinking about the return of sports competitions seems like a dream. However, MLB fans were excited after one of the Andrew Cuomo, New York’s governor, daily press conferences, where he expressed optimism about the return of baseball’s to the Big Apple. Cuomo said he expects baseball to be back by summer to the city that is home for the Yankees and Mets; adding that league officials must find ways to make this possible.
«If the players could get paid more than staying home and owners would get some revenue versus total shutdown, why not? I would love to watch» Cuomo said.

With four tournaments, the Professional Golfers Association expects to resume competitions from the second week of June 2020. The first event would be the Charles Schwab, which will be held from June 11 and without public in Texas.
