La Asociación de Cronistas de Santiago de los Caballeros realizó la ceremonia de premiación al Atleta y Cronista Deportivo del año. El nadador Josué Domínguez, fue elegido como el Atleta del Año 2021 y Santana Martínez como el cronista deportivo 2021, por sus aportes a la prensa de esa provincia. Josué, quien ya había sido el atleta del año en 2014, estuvo representado en esta oportunidad por su padre, Jorge Domínguez.
Entre otros premios, le fue entregado a la Asociación de Baloncesto de Santiago de los Caballeros (ABASACA), el galardón como Asociación del Año, además se destacó al mejor atleta en diferentes deportes y al mejor en diferentes ramas del periodismo deportivo.

The Journalists Association of Santiago de los Caballeros held the award ceremony for the Athlete and Sports Journalists of the year. The swimmer Josué Domínguez, was chosen as the 2021 Athlete of the Year and Santana Martínez as the 2021 Sports Journalist, for his contributions to the press of that province. Josué, who had already been the athlete of the year in 2014, was represented on this occasion by his father, Jorge Domínguez.
Among other awards, the Santiago de los Caballeros Basketball Association (ABASACA) was presented with the award as Association of the Year, in addition to the best athlete in different sports and the best in different categories of sports journalism.
