Munich (dpa) – Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti says he will rotate his team for the Bundesliga clash with SV Hamburg on Saturday but warned the winless northerners will pose a challenge.
«I’m sure that tomorrow will be difficult for us,» Ancelotti told a news conference Friday. «We want to go in to the game like we did against Hertha (in midweek).»
Bayern defeated the previously perfect Hertha 3-0 on Wednesday to maintain their own 100 per cent record at the top of the table.
But changes will be made to the starting eleven with Mats Hummels replacing Jerome Boateng in defence while Joshua Kimmich, Renato Sanches and Kingsley Coman can all expect playing time after being protected to various degrees in midweek.
«I’ll rotate tomorrow,» Ancelotti said. «I’ll decide about the line-up after training today.»
Hamburg have only one point this season and coach Bruno Labaddia is under pressure after three consecutive defeats.
«Hamburg will try to defend well and play on the counter,» Ancelotti warned. «We must be prepared for that.»
