AIPS América realiza exitoso Congreso en la selva amazónica
Con la presencia de 18 países (*), cuatro más que en la edición anterior de 2011, se realizó del 1 al 5 de setiembre, en la ciudad de Manaus, capital del estado brasileño de Amazonas, el XXI Congreso de AIPS América.
El evento fue organizado por ACLEA (Asociación de Periodistas Deportivos de Amazonas) que forma parte de ABRACE, la asociación nacional del Brasil, y se desarrolló en el Amazon Jungle Palace, un hotel flotante, sobre las aguas del río Negro, afluente del río Amazonas, el más caudaloso del mundo.
La desbordante naturaleza y el ambiente selvático rodearon al desarrollo de las jornadas del Congreso, que tuvo como expositores de lujo al Ministro de Deporte de Brasil, Aldo Rebelo y a la directora adjunta del Departamento de Comunicaciones de la FIFA, Delia Fischer.
Las autoridades presentes en Manaus fueron los presidentes de AIPS, Gianni Merlo; de AIPS América, Gabriel Cazenave; de ABRACE, Aderson Maia Nogueira y de ACLEA, Eduardo Monteiro de Lima.
Entre las resoluciones más importantes que tomó el Congreso de Manaus, en un ambiente fantástico e inigualable, pueden citarse:
-Elección de Eduardo Monteiro de Paula (Brasil, Miembro Titular), Iranildo Silva (Brasil, Tribunal de Honor) y Nicolás Espinosa (Panamá, Comisión Fiscal).

-Designación de Paraguay y Chile como sedes de los Congresos AIPS América de 2013 y 2014.
-Designación de Guatemala para organizar una reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de AIPS América en el segundo semestre de 2013.
-Confirmación de los Primeros Juegos Deportivos AIPS América para mayo de 2013, en Medellín, Colombia.
-Solicitud unánime de los 18 delegados presentes a Gianni Merlo para que busque la reelección en el Congreso AIPS de Sochi, Rusia, en abril de 2014.

AIPS America realizes successful Congress in the Amazonian jungle
With the presence of 18 countries (*), four more than in the previous edition of 2011, was held from September 1 to 5, in the city of Manaus, capital of the Brazilian state of Amazonas, the XXI Congress of AIPS America.
The event was organized by ACLEA (Sports Journalists Association of Amazonas) that is part of ABRACE, the National Association of Brazil, and was developed in the Amazon Jungle Palace, a floating hotel on the waters of the Black river, a tributary of the Amazon River, the mightiest of the world.

Among the most important decisions taken by the Congress of Manaus, in a fantastic and incomparable atmosphere, can be cited:
-Choice of Eduardo Monteiro de Paula (Brazil, titular member), Iranildo Silva (Brazil, Court of Honor) and Nicolas Espinosa (Panama, Fiscal Commission).
-Appointment of Paraguay and Chile as headquarters of AIPS America Congress in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
-Appointment of Guatemala for a meeting the Executive Committee of AIPS America in the second half of 2013.
-Confirmation of the first Sports Games of AIPS America in May 2013, in Medellin, Colombia.
-Unanimous request of 18 present delegates to Gianni Merlo to seek reelection in AIPS Congress in Sochi, Russia, in April 2014.
