A UNIQUE TRADITION Journalists on the Podium is a unique tradition that celebrates longevity in sports journalism. It was born in August 2012 when Honav’s replica of the 2012 London Olympic torch was presented to over 100 veteran journalists, each of whom had covered 10 or more Olympic Games.

«Many times we don’t think enough about how the stories, pictures, and news are passed on. It is great to be here to honour the journalists, many of whom have become friends with the athletes,» said Edwin Moses, the former American hurdler who dominated the 400-meter hurdles event for a decade, winning gold medals in the race at the 1976 and 1984 Olympic Games, during the first ceremony.
