BOGOTÁ, Colombia 18 de marzo de 2020. – El Salvador y Nicaragua son los únicos países del continente americano que aún no reportan casos oficiales de ‘coronavirus’, y aunque los salvadoreños han tomado las medidas acorde a lo recomendado por la Organización Mundial de la Salud, caso contrario pasa con Nicaragua, que sigue con la actividad deportiva normalmente. Otros partidos se jugarán en Brasil, aunque no por Primera División.
CONMEBOL
La Confederación Suramericana de Fútbol, -Conmebol- anunció que La Copa América que se debía realizar por primera vez en dos países; Argentina y Colombia entre junio y julio de 2020, ha quedado aplazada y se disputará del 11 de junio al 11 de julio de 2021. La decisión se tomó en conjunto con la UEFA que también postergó la Eurocopa para 2021.
COLOMBIA
AUTOMOVILISMO
Las tres entidades que gobiernan el deporte a motor en Colombia –Fedeautos, Fedekart y Fedemoto– se han acogido a la suspensión de actividades deportivas masivas. Las competencias que no se realizarán por el momento son: el GP de Motociclismo, el TC2000 y el CNA de autos y las categorías Rotax, Vortex e EasyKart de kartismo.
De igual manera, la Federación Colombiana de Béisbol confirmó que se une a las campañas mundiales contra la pandemia, y suspendió las prácticas y torneos durante el tiempo que sea necesario en todo el país.
PATINAJE
La Federación Colombiana de Patinaje organizadora de los Mundiales de Hockey en Línea y de Patinaje de Carreras Colombia 2020 que se realizarían del 26 de junio al 19 de julio en Cartagena, cambian de fecha y serán pospuestos por dos meses. Las nuevas fechas fueron dispuestas del 31 de agosto al 19 de septiembre de 2020, en la misma sede.

En comunicado oficial, el comisionado de la Major League Baseball -MLB-, Robert D. Manfield informó que el inicio de la temporada 2020 será postergado más de las ocho semanas que en un inicio se había informado. La temporada estaba para comenzar el 26 de marzo.
NICARAGUA
Hoy miércoles 18 de marzo se jugará con normalidad la novena fecha del Torneo clausura 2020 entre Real Madriz y Diriangén FC, Esteli vs Jalapa, Ferretti vs Managua FC, Juventus Managua vs Sabanas y Ocotal vs Chinandega. Los juegos iniciarán a las 19hrs hora local. Estos partidos se convierten en los únicos juegos oficiales y de primera división del fútbol que se jueguen en el Continente Americano.

La Federación Dominicana de Béisbol, se unió a la filosofía de proteger la integridad de sus atletas, empelados y fanáticos y anunció que quedan suspendidas todas actividades a nivel nacional, las cuales incluyen las organizadas por las Ligas, Clubes, Programas de Academias y Asociaciones, así como las prácticas de los equipos que representan la nación en eventos internacionales. Igualmente las actividades administrativas quedan suspendidas.
La Asociación de Cronistas Deportivos aplazó la Gala Atleta del Año, que estaba fijada para el 27 de marzo.
Gatorade República Dominicana comunicó el aplazamiento hasta nuevo aviso del Torneo 5v5 2020, el cual inició el pasado 6 de marzo y tenía fechas de juego para los días 21, 22, 28 y 29 de este mes.
VENEZUELA

El Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Juventud y el Deporte ordenó la suspensión indefinida de sus operaciones y de todas las competencias a su cargo.
Por su parte la Liga FutVe de Primera División del Fútbol anunció la suspensión de la temporada y pidió a los clubes interrumpir sus actividades presenciales.
La Federación Venezolana de Baloncesto que estaba lista para el inicio de La Superliga, aplazó el calendario.
La Federación Venezolana de Béisbol cesó todas las actividades, incluidas las relacionadas con academias y clubes en todo el país.

The three bodies that govern motor sport in Colombia –Fedeautos, Fedekart and
Fedemoto- has accepted the suspension of massive sports activities. The competitions that will not be held at the moment are: the Motorcycling GP, the TC2000 and the CNA (cars) and the Rotax, Vortex and EasyKart categories of karting.
Colombian Baseball Federation confirmed that it joins the World Cups against the Pandemic campaigns, and suspended practices and tournaments for as long as it is necessary throughout the country.

The Colombian Roll Skating Federation organizer of the World Inline Hockey and Speed Roll Skating Colombia 2020 to be held from June 26th to July 19th in Cartagena, change its dates and will be postponed for two months. The new dates were arranged from August 31st to September 19th 2020, in the same city.

In an official statement, Major League Baseball Commissioner -MLB-, Robert D. Manfield reported that the start of the 2020 season will be postponed more than eight weeks, time that was reported at the beginning. The season was to begin on March 26.
NICARAGUA
Today, Wednesday, March 18th, the ninth round of the Torneo Clausura 2020 will be normally played between Real Madriz and Diriangén FC, Esteli vs Jalapa, Ferretti vs Managua FC, Juventus Managua vs Sabanas and Ocotal vs Chinandega. The games will start at 19hrs local time. These games become the only official and for the first division soccer games to be played on the American Continent.

The Dominican Baseball Federation joined the philosophy of protecting the integrity of its athletes, employees and fans and announced that all national activities, which include those organized by Leagues, Clubs, Academic Programs and Associations, as well as the practices of the teams that represent the country in international events, are suspended. Likewise, administrative activities are suspended.
The Dominican Sport Press Association postponed the Athlete of the Year Gala, which was set for March 27th.
Gatorade Dominican Republic announced the postponement until further notice of the 5v5 2020 Tournament, which started on March 6th and had game dates for 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th of this month.
VENEZUELA

The Ministry of Popular Power for Youth and Sports ordered the indefinite suspension of its operations and all the competitions under its charge.
On the other hand the FutVe First Division Soccer League announced the suspension of the season and asked the clubs to interrupt al their face-to-face activities.
The Venezuelan Basketball Federation, which was ready to start the Super League, postponed the calendar.
The Venezuelan Baseball Federation ceased all activities, including those related to academies and clubs across the country.
