BOGOTÁ, Colombia, 8 de diciembre de 2019.- El atletismo colombiano sigue teniendo un gran año no solo por parte de los atletas sino de los organizadores de grandes careras de calle. Entre los logros deportivos se destaca la actuación del velocista Anthony Zambrano en el Mundial de Doha, Catar, donde ganó la medalla de plata en los 200 metros, logro histórico para el país.
En la parte de organización de eventos, la media maratón de Bogotá (mmB) fue nombrada como la única en el mundo con el “Sello Platino”, por parte de la World Athletics Federation (IAAF), dentro de alrededor de 165 eventos atléticos con sellos de calidad como Platino, Oro, Plata y Bronce.
Para el año 2020, solo doce competencias
tendrán el Sello Platino, máxima distinción organizativa de la Federación
Internacional, entre las que se encuentran las maratones de Tokio, Nagoya,
Seúl, Boston, Londres, Berlín, Chicago y New York, lo que se convierte en una
gran noticia para el atletismo colombiano y para la Media Maratón de Bogotá,
competencia que este 2019 llegó a su edición número 20 y que ha tenido en estas
carreras legendarias un modelo para avanzar y mejorar a través de los años,
convirtiéndose así en la única prueba de 21 kilómetros y 97.5 metros en el
selecto grupo ya mencionado.
“La llegada del “Sello Platino” en el programa de etiquetas o sellos que reúne
a las mejores carreras de ruta en el orbe, demuestra una renovación para la
temporada 2020, que tiene como objetivo aumentar los niveles organizativos, la
aplicación completa de las reglas de competencia de la IAAF, el apoyo total de
las autoridades del evento, el compromiso de los organizadores con el avance
del atletismo, la presencia de los mejores atletas del ranking según los
listados de la World Athletics, la masiva cobertura de medios de
comunicación locales e internacionales y los pasos concretos en la lucha
mundial contra el dopaje” así lo publicó la oficina de prensa del evento en su
comunicado oficial.
Además, las dos carreras más importantes de Buenos Aires; la 21k y el Maratón Internacional, al igual que el Medio Maratón y el Maratón de Rio de Janeiro recibieron la etiqueta de bronce.
Cabe destacar que la contribución de las organizaciones de carreras que harán parte del calendario 2020, ha logrado reunir un fondo extra de 2,5 millones de dólares, los cuales serán destinados al perfeccionamiento del sistema antidopaje de la Unidad de la IAAF (A.I.U.).
Derlys Ayala y Cristhian Pacheco de Perú recibieron la “Etiqueta de Oro”
Otra buena noticia para el atletismo del continente llegó gracias a Derlys Ayala de Paraguay, quien recibió la “Etiqueta de Oro”. Derlys es el campeón del sudamericano de maratón realizado en Buenos Aires en septiembre de este año, también obtuvo la etiqueta dorada, Cristhian Pacheco de Perú actual medallista de oro de los Juegos Panamericanos.
Etiqueta de Plata
Esta etiqueta fue otorgada a los argentinos Joaquín Arbe y Daiana Ocampo, a la campeona panamericana Gladys Tejeda de Perú y a Rosa Alva Chacha de Ecuador.

BOGOTA, Colombia, December 8, 2019.- Colombian athletics continues to have a great year, not only for the athlete’s success but also for the organizers of large road races. Sports achievements include the performance of sprinter Anthony Zambrano at Athletics World Cup hold in Doha, Qatar where he won the silver medal in the 200 meters, an historic achievement for the country.
About events organization, the half marathon of Bogotá (mmB) was named the only one in the world with the «Platinum Seal», by the World Athletics Federation (IAAF), within about 165 athletic races with Quality labels such as Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
By 2020, only twelve competitions will have the Platinum Seal, the highest organizational distinction of the International Federation, between them are the marathons of Tokyo, Nagoya, Seoul, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York, this becomes a great news for the Colombian athletics and for the Bogota Half Marathon, competition that this 2019 reached its 20th edition and which has had in these legendary races a model to advance and improve over the years, thus becoming the only 21k and 97.5m competition in the select group already mentioned.

Another good news for the athletics in the American Continent came from Derlys Ayala from Paraguay, who received the “Gold Label”. Derlys is the current champion of the South American Marathon held in Buenos Aires in September this year, and also Cristhian Pacheco of Peru, current gold medalist of the Pan American Games got the golden label.
Silver Label
