AL FUJAIRAH, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, 10 de noviembre de 2019.- El Campeonato Mundial masculino de culturismo en las modalidades clásico, phisique y league pro, comenzó a desarrollarse en el Emirato de Al Fujairah, distante 110 km de Dubai.

Al Fujairah, en Emiratos Árabes Unidos, saltó al mundo de la información deportiva cuando el club de fútbol del lugar, contrató a Maradona para ser su DT en mayo 2017.

El 73o Congreso Mundial de la IFBB y su la federación Internacional vienen de un año intenso con más de 200 competencias en el mundo en los 5 continentes, luego de haber realizado su buen debut olímpico durante los Juegos Panamericanos de Lima 2019, donde su participación fue respondida por el 46% de los comités olímpicos de los 41 que agrupa Panam Sports, quienes presentaron 32 atletas de ambos sexos, para la competencia en culturismo masculino y fitness coreográfico.

Fujairah en Emiratos Árabes Unidos, resultó ser una muy buena sede y el complejo deportivo Zayed recibe el torneo con la presencia de Delegaciones de más de 110 países que presentan 850 competidores, durante los tres días que durará la competencia en diversas categorías, altura y peso.

El Dr. Santonja Presidente de la IFBB refiriéndose al torneo y al deporte del culturismo expresó: “»Bodybuilding and fitness are a lifestyle and a guide sport for young people and different people of all ages, it is a sport that bets on life, is pro-life, is the construction of a naturally healthy life.”

El día jueves 7 se llevó a cabo el Congreso, que tuvo intenso trabajo. Trató muchos temas y aprobó la gestión del Presidente y el reporte y memoria de sus actuaciones en el ejercicio, así como el balance de cuentas.

El aspecto de más suceso reside en la modernización que lleva adelante la IFBB, tratando de unir áreas y mercados deportivos, estableciendo alianzas con otros deportes que tienen cierta analogía. En tal sentido, elevaron el mes pasado, nota a la Asociación Global de Federaciones Deportivas Internacionales (GAISF), dirigida a su Presidente Raffaele Chiulli, donde solicitan en nombre de 5 Federaciones Internacionales, la creación de los Juegos Mundiales de Poder a celebrarse cada dos años, la primera vez en el 2021.

Las Federaciones que acompañan esta iniciativa de Santonja además de la IFBB, son la IWF (Halterofilia); IPF (Levantamiento de Potencia) UWW (Lucha) y la TWIF (Tug of War).

Esta decisión que partió de la IFBB, está aprobada por la GAISF, – según Santonja -, con la creación de los Juegos que contarán inicialmente, con los cinco deportes fundadores, con miras a dar la bienvenida a otros que puedan sumarse, los que deberán ser miembros de GAISF y signatarios del Código de la Agencia Mundial Antidopaje. 

La ciudad anfitriona se anunciará en SportAccord el próximo año, en la reunión programada del 19 al 24 de abril en Beijing (China).

Para estos Juegos mundiales, se estableció un objetivo mínimo de 500 atletas participantes, y uno de los principales atributos de los nuevos Juegos, será la equidad de género. Además, las Federaciones Internacionales participantes deben ser miembros plenos de GAISF y siempre que estén relacionados con el físico, la fuerza y ​​el poder y sean signatarios del Código Mundial Antiodopaje (WADA).

Durante el Congreso se anunció el reconocimiento del Culturismo por parte de la FISU (Federación Internacional de Deportes Universitarios).

El Mundial de Culturismo finalizará la tarde del sábado 9 y a la noche se realizará la cena de gala y cierre del Mundial.

Fujairah capital of bodybuilding and power sports center

The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness maintains a collaborative cooperation relationship with the AIPS dating from 2017.
